Cleaning a porcelain kitchen sink.
Best product to clean white porcelain kitchen sink.
Today i m sharing this little tip for cleaning a white porcelain sink straight out of the my new book the cleaning ninja if you have a white porcelain sink at home like our farmhouse sink then you know how beautiful they can look when they re shiny clean but also how quickly they can get looking a little dull and gross.
For a monthly deep cleaning of your white sink mix together a gallon of warm water a 1 4 cup 59 ml of baking soda and a 1 4 cup 59 ml of ammonia.
If your porcelain sink is white pour some bleach into it.
Then use a clean sponge to scrub the bottom sides and rim of the porcelain.
If concerned about putting any kind of bleach on an antique porcelain sink use white vinegar instead.
The first step is to wipe down the sink so it s fairly dry.
Discard the bleachy paper towels and rinse sink completely with clean water.
Let the bleach sit for 30 60 minutes then drain your sink and rinse it out thoroughly.
Then i walk away and go to bed.
For all of the cleaning strategies we discuss we advise going over your porcelain sink with mild dishwashing soap hot water and a damp sponge just like you would use when you clean a granite sink.
Use dish soap to prep your basin and get any light stains greasy residue and food build up out of the way.
Then i take out my handy dandy spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide and liberally spray the sink.
Take care when using bleach and make sure to work in a well ventilated area.
